Do you consider school cheerleading a sport?
I don't and neither does my school it used to be considered a club at my school(they still went to football.soccer.and lacrosse games and stuff) but then we cut it and added a whole bunch of new sports. I also seen this happen at my friends school they don't count it as a sport either it's just an activity. Now cheerleading outside of school is indeed a sport(I was forced by my ex-boyfriend to join at 15 and stay in it intill I broke up with his ***) But in my opinon(and my school and various other schools) school cheerleading is not a sport.
BQ:Did you like the reboot of spiderman? It SUCKED and ruined my childhood

Nope. It's just twirling around and yelling annoying cheers. Sure there's competitions, but there's no real skill. I'm going to get thumbs downed I'm sure, but it's not a real sport. You don't defeat the rival school in cheerleading, or win the league championship.
BQ: Nope!
It depends on the school. Some schools are competitive, some aren't. Most aren't, but at my school, we have a varsity and JV cheer squad. The JV absolutely sucks. They are never in sync and fall half the time.
But the varsity isn't bad. They can do assemblies and dances quite well. Nothing big like gymnastics but at least they are in sync. They can do their job well and help cheer our sports teams on and help fire up the crowds.
Honestly, I think it is a sport, considering that they practice at least 3 times a week and do warm ups and cheerleaders are usually more flexible than other girls because they stretch a lot. But it's a sport comparable to golf, or bowling, it's just not that intense.
I think cheerleading is stupid. My sister does it and loves it, but I think it's degrading for girls. Why cheer and do fake dance moves for a team when you can be apart of that team? And the outfits are degrading too. I don't get why my sister likes it.
BQ: I saw it like a week ago with my mom. I'm a huge Spiderman fan, but more of the Tobey Macguire ones than the actual comics, so I didn't like the reboot. The only things I liked better were the effects, which rocked, and that Gwen girl. Wow, I don't even like Emma Stone and I was cheering for her. Maybe it's because I hated Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane. She was an idiot. But overall, it was decent. I just love the other ones.
No I do not. Unless it is actually competitive.
BQ: Reboot? Are you serious? It was based off the original comic "The Amazing Spiderman" released in 1963. These were times before Mary Jane and when the storyline was a little different. So the other movies were not the originals.
So more like the previous three movies ruined my childhood. That's Stan Lee's favorite character too. Don't forget that.
Yes, i do. My school has considered it a sport for a long time since they compete, go to nationals, have camps in the summer, etc. Our school cheerleading is just like the competitive cheerleading outside of school.
BQ: No.
Side lines cheerleading? No.
Winter cheerleading through school with competitions? Yes
bq don't care
Competitive cheer, yes.school cheer,no.Unless the school cheerleaders have to lift and throw 100+lbs girls,I don't think it's really a sport.
I consider competitive cheerleading a sport, just like competitive gymnastics. It requires a massive amount of skill and practice. but I do not consider sideline, eye-candy, short-skirt wearing NFL cheerleading a sport. that just makes me want to scream.
Sport: An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others.
My answer: Yes.
The sad thing is my school considered cheerleading a class which you received a grade.
