2005 Honda accord V6 problem?
Can you help me decide if there is a simple solution for this or if it's a more serious problem? I have looked all over the internet and have found nothing.
It first started when my driver's side headlight went out. We had to remove the battery to replace it. Shortly after my Navigation system started shorting out, as well as the radio which we found was caused by one of the battery connections simply not being tight enough. We fixed that and everything was ok for a few days. Then the navigation system started shorting out again, but not the radio this time. The battery connections still looked great, so we assumed it was just some of the wiring in the navigation system shorting out or something, until this morning. While cleaning my car this morning, I had the radio and air running without the engine running long enough to hear 4 songs on the radio, and then the radio just shut off. I popped the hood to check the battery connection and in doing so, the radio came back on. I got out to shut the hood, came back and the radio was off again and every warning light on my dashboard was on. I got the car to start (barely) but when I tried to drive it, it wouldn't move at all and my brakes locked up (as in I can't push them down at all). I turned the car completely off for a few seconds and tried to restart it only to find that it sounds like a yapping chihuahua while trying to turn over but won't start. My husband thought it was the security system causing the problem, so he recommended I get out, lock the car, and then try to unlock it with the key itself (rather than remote entry). When I turned the key and unlocked the car, my window started to roll down! Has anyone else had a problem similar to this, or know what could be causing it? I really don't want to take it to the dealer if it's something simple. Thanks!

There is something wrong with your remote starter that's making most of this goofy stuff happen. BUT, if you BARELY got it to start when all the electronics were going out your battery isn't holding a good enough charge to start the car. When your engine is running and you are using electronics your alternator recirculates power so that your battery can always supply your car with what you need. That's why if you run the radio for a long time with your car off the battery is sucked dry and the car won't start. However, if your alternator is bad then it may not be recharging the battery enough even when the engine is on. Also, the alternator is powered by your drivebelt/serpentine belt so make sure that is the correct tightness. Auto supply places can test your alternator for free too.
Might want to take the car back to the dealer, although with most new cars there is engine break in period, if you have been dogging the motor like a dumb a$$ you may have damaged something.
