business degree vs diploma?
What one shall i do ? I want to become a store manager, own my own small business or have a marketing job. I know the degree is better but is it worth the extra work, when it comes to employment and getting a job?
Update:I don't have a specific goal because I don't want to end up doing just one thing in life, and realistically not many people do end up doing just one job in their life. So want to keep my options open. I could do any or all of those in my lifetime.

If you had a specific goal I would offer specific advice. "Own my own small business or have a marketing job" does not resemble a goal so I would equip myself to cover all bases, in which case the degree is more comprehensive and likely a better option for you. Although not necessarily essential for a small business owner it would be important for a marekting role so go with that.
edit: okay, then I if you don't want to feel restricted in terms of your options, I think the degree is a slam dunk as it encompasses far more than a diploma.
Anyone could open a business, you don't need a degree for that. So you could probably get all the basic information that you need from a diploma. I'm not sure however if its easier to attract capital if you have a degree to back you up.
