Is a DogFish bigger or a CatFish?

I want a dog but my mother said no so when I got to know about Catfish I thought i will keep that but when i saw some photos of it it was massive. So I thought I will keep a dogfish because that looked smaller than a catfish

    OK ,I'll play along...

    It depends on the species of dogfish and the species of catfish... then there's the fact that most dogfish are saltwater and most catfish are freshwater... then there's the fact you can keep a catfish (of some type) in a 5g tank (even though you'd better not).

    You can buy a Pygmy Cory for $3.99... or any number of species Cory catfish for the same.

    Couldn't you just buy all the seasons of CatDog on dvd and pretend you had a pet?
