Anyways to "upcycle" tanks tops into dresses, no sew?

I can't sew but I have a whole bunch of ribbed tank tops I never wear and for my trip to new york soon I don't have enough money to buy new clothes so I wanted to make some cute dresses like this

papernstitchblog.com/2011/08/16/how-to-make-an-insanely-cute-dress-on-a-shoestring-budget-tutorial/

but as I said I can't sew so any help please?

Update:

or ones really easy to sew?

  • do you have any high waisted skirts? if you put on the top and tuck it into a high waisted skirt that would look cool. if you have a long/ medium skirt then that could be pulled up to become high waisted to get the effect you want. this was probably useless but hey atleast i tried! at a push if you did a gothich one you could turn the edges of the fabric in and clip it with lots of safety pins down the edge to make it look like detailing. Now i thought of that idea I really want to make myself one of those.

  • Take a dress or a tank top and turn the sleeves inside so it looks like a skirt. Then put on a tank top so it looks like you are wearing a top and a skirt. tuck in the tank top inside your "skirt" and put on a skinny belt. It will look like a dress but it really isn't. If you don't understand what i am trying to say then feel free to message me.

  • i used to have a chum who had a blankie up till the final time i talked to her she grew to become into approximately 18 or so and is now 27 who's conscious if she nevertheless has (in all probability so) she would pass to ordinary places without it yet while she went to opposition (gymnastics!!) she would take it together with her. in basic terms a convenience project. each and every person has something they cant permit pass and mine is a crammed animal others in basic terms ensue to have blankies. no longer a project with it in any respect, her associates won't care.
