Normal sleep??...........................?

What is a normal sleep amount for an 18 year old male? Just roughly please so I know if I should mention it to my psych today or not. (been sleping more than usual - wanna know if it's signifigant).

  • For your age, normal sleep hours are between 6 hours and 10 hours. If you sleep more than 10 hours, you'll wake up feeling sleepy. If you're sleeping more than that, could be that you're depressed but don't know it or your body is producing an above average amount of Melatonin. Talk to a physician, not your psychologist just yet.

  • Probably 6-10 hours, depending on how much sleep they're going for. I have friends that can sleep 12-13 hours.

  • im 13 and i go to sleep at 2am and wake up at around 10am-noon. I feel pretty good when i get 8-10 hours (any more than that, i feel too sleepy) so, im guessing around 8-10 hours for you too. I usually get up for school at 6 and go to bed at 11 but, because its summer, i get to sleep in!!!! yay!!!

  • i sleep from 4 to 3 so thats wat....11 hours....and im still sleepy when i wake up..lol

  • 8-10 hours is really quite well! ^^
