Help algebra problem !?

how do you solve this ?

• 6a - 7 = 4a + 9 ?

• -14 - n = -3n + 6 ?

Update:

oh and can you explain it step by step thanks (:

Comments

  • 6a - 4a - 7 = + 9

    2a = 9 + 7

    2a = 16

    2a/2 = 16/2

    a = 8

    btw when + goes over the = it becomes -

    And - becomes +

    -14 -n + 3n = 6

    2n = 6 + 14

    2n = 20

    n = 10

  • the first problem:

    (6a - 4a) = (9 + 7) ---- get all the variables on one side and the numbers on the other.

    2a = 16

    (16/2) = 8 ---- undo the multiplication by doing the opposite [division]

    a = 8

    the second problem:

    -14 - n= -3n + 6

    -n + 3n = 6 + 14

    2n = 20

    n = 10

  • 1. 6a-4a=9+7,so

    2a=16,so

    a=8

    2.-n+3n=6+14, so

    2n=20, so

    n=10
