Pacemaker concerns......?
I'm 26 and just had a dual chamber pacemaker put in 3 weeks ago. And every day I can feel it going off, I think. It's pretty weird, and painful. It feels like someone is taking a rubber band and snapping it inside my chest. But I can feel it only under my right brest and in right shoulder. I know that the leads do not go up that far. Do u think I have dislodged a lead? They told me that I can not raise my left arm over my head or pick up anything over 15lbs for 4-6 weeks. But lets be honest, have a 19 month old.... Enough said. Lol. I try not to pick him up with my left arm but I know I have raised my arm a couple times. So, what do u guys think? Is that snapping normal? Should I call my doc in the morning? Thanks a bunch! God bless!

Call your doctor if:--
* Your wound looks infected (redness, increased drainage, swelling, painful).
* You are having the symptoms you had before the pacemaker was implanted.
* You feel dizzy or short of breath.
* You have chest pain.
* You have hiccups that do not go away.
* You were unconscious for a moment.
