how sucessful is a membrane sweep?
im 39 weeks + 1 and had a sweep this afternoon....im also 2 cm dilated and cervix is soft and 2cm long...just wondering if anyone has had this done and how quick they went into labour....

It didn't work for me.
I was 3 cm dilated and completely thinned. My doctor did the sweep on a Monday.... I waited until the following Monday and went back. I hadn't dilated any more at all.
I had to be induced on Feb 2.
I know a couple girls who say it did work.. but for me it didn't.
Rarely do they work! I had 3 of them before I finally delivered.
