Is Acer a good laptop?

I am going to college in the Fall I basically want a laptop that will allow me to "be a student" I guess you could say. I found an Acer Aspire. The title i saw with the laptop was "Acer 15.6" Aspire AS5733Z-4633 Laptop PC with Intel Pentium Dual-Core P6200 Processor and Windows 7 Home Premium with Windows 8 Pro Upgrade Option". I have no clue what that means but i'm sure someone here can help me :) So please tell me what you think (BE HONEST) Thank you in advance.

I found this laptop and it is $350 including tax and shipping

    It's a good laptop for taking notes , running microsoft office on it, web browsing, not for gaming, also you can upgrade to windows 8 when it's due to come out in the fall meaning the upgrade and full version, windows 8 is a good operating system but mainly focus on tablets, it's a good laptop for a college student who into studies in business, liberal arts, not for engineers students
