How do I transfer photos to a new CD?

I insert the CD and cut my photos and wanted past them to CD but when I clicked on CD it says to inser the CD.

    i think cut and paste will not work.

    you can only burn the photos to the CD,just like dvd burning.

    you can search for a suitable software to help you do that.
