Catholics are more prone to compromising with secular word views and morals than most Christians nowadays, since Catholicism itself is basically the result of the "church" compromising with practically every other religion throughout its 2000 year history. That's why they often officially accept things like gay marriage, evolution, etc; after all, according to most Catholics, the pope has more authority than the Bible itself, which of course is completely unbiblical. Take a look at some of the articles under the link below for more information.
Not all Catholics have the exact same opinion about different things. A lot of Catholics don't agree with gay marriage.
A lot of Catholics pray for gays like they do to other humans but they feel that gays are a disgrace to the world we live in. A lot of Catholics are taught that being gay is bad.
Some Catholics don't see being gay as a bad thing, they see it as a natural thing, and if God didn't want them to be gay, they wouldn't be gay.
The Church itself officially does not support gay marriage, please do some research before saying things like this.
However, many Catholics, individually, DO support gay marriage. Because we believe that we should all have equal rights, and that Jesus loves everyone.

they do? O.o when the hell did this happen?!
if anyone does support gay marriage it is probably because
1: it is a human right and they get that
2: this is america and all humans are free *guess that an be same as 1*
or 3: they don't care if they get married cause they know to choose their battles and some things are just more important
