A few mixed choices in no particular order: Marathon Durandal - mac/pc - second of trilogy (beats Doom 2 hands down as best FPS ever imo) the other two in the series rock as well Halo - console/pc - the whole series though CE is best, 3 is good, 2 was ok - no coincidence that they are on my list, spawn of Marathon that they are Escape Velocity - mac/pc - by Ambrosia Software - no better space sci-fi sim game for the money, or for any money, the whole series is great Burnout - console - series - just fun driving crashing racing with super music tracks Zork - if you're old enough to have played it when first out, you'll agree - Infocom text adventure that set the bar high Defender - have to include the arcade game that sucked a fortune of quarters from my pockets as a kid - truly addictive ...anything else I've played doesn't come close in terms of best. Good sure, best no. Of course this is all totally subjective and a lot of you youngsters will have no concept of just how far gaming has come :-)
Link to the Past is number one, for sure. Also, you're missing Mortal Kombat 2.
