It does not affect social life as much as tuberculosis. However, a person suffering from malaria is a carrier of Plasmodium and he/she can infect an Anopheles.
Well you wouldn't be going to parties or anything but think of all the sympathy cards and get well presents you'd receive. Everybody is nice to you when you're fatally ill!
