Toshiba Satellite Pro L100 trying to upgrade to 2gb ram?

Hello

I was wondering i anyone could help me, I am tring to upgrade my laptop and hav recently brought two 1gb rams for it as it says it can to 2gb max. But when i put them both in the laptop doesn't seem to respond, it turns on and thats it. I have tried both by themselfs as 1gb in both ram ports and both work by themselfs. I dont get why it doesn't work with both, is there somethnig I am missing. Here are the specs

  • Make sure that the memory you purchased is: DDR II SDRAM - 533 MHz

    You will most likely have to remove the existing 256 meg stick to make room (unless it's got more than two slots).

    If you have the correct kind of ram, then try one stick at a time - if one or the other is bad, it can keep both from working.

    Make sure you are installing it correctly, and that it is seated properly.
