I went to cosmetology school 7 years ago. I failed the test back then. I want to take the test agian, but I forgot all the stuff that was on that exam. Anyone else know?
You will probably have to go back to school for a refresher course. I don't think that after 7 years you can just go back and take a test. If you forgot what you learned, you know you will fail the test anyway and just waste your time. Check with a cosmetology school near you.
Just to let you know If it's been 7 years...I don't think your going to be able to go straight to boards. There is a time limit, where hours eventually aren't accepted by the board..So you may have to go back to Cosmetology School. So before you start studying for ANYTHING. I would contact your state board and make sure your hours are good...Besides, If you can't remember, I suggest going back, anyway. Because if you forgot everything...There is a really big chance...Your not going to pass.
Everything on the test is what you need to know to be a SAFE professional cosmetologist, if you've forgotten those things you shouldn't be diong anyones hair. Go back to school then try again. Hope this helps! ;-)))

Most beauty schools have a "refresher" course. But frankly, if you don't use it, you lose it.
It's not about passing the test. It's about having the skill needed to take care of your client . And also how not to harm them.

It depends on which state you live in. Call the cosmotology department for your state.
