Hi, I plan to take my wife and 2yr kid to Niagara Falls this summer from Maryland, we will stay at Ithaca, NY for one night as a mid-point. What should I expect in Ithaca, and Niagara Falls besides water? and any other city to stay instead of Ithaca? Thanks!

I recommend staying on the Canadian side instead. It's so much better, especially for kids. They have a ferris wheel and restaurants and haunted houses and arcades. There are two blocks of them and people just walk around and enjoy the activities and then you can walk to the falls during the day as well. I'm from California and was really glad someone advised me to stay on the Canadian side instead of the U.S. side after I did it. You get a lot more for your money and it's a lot more convenient.
Tsu-Fan, I would go directly to the Canadian side of the falls, more kid friendly.
