ps3 update problem !! ???
i have another problem people i downloaded the update 2.10 and put it on my ps3 because it has been weird. and i got it on installed it all expecting now i have done a system update that i can sign up for playstation network ! and then i go and click on
it and it says you must perform a system update and i have just updated to 2.10 is the problem that i have to have the latest one which is 2.36 ?? please help
Update:i need help with getting the update off the internet now when i download it it always stops and just dosent progress could some one please send it to me or something ??

I don't understand your problem, Version 2.36 is the current 2.40 hasn't been released yet but if you are connected to the internet you should be able to sign up for the playstation network anyway and any updates should download automatically, if not,go to playstation europe and download it from there on to a flash card or usb stick and install it manually. I am sorry if that is no help but I really do not understand what it is you are trying to say.
The current update is 2.36 for the PS3. The most recent update is 2.4 which was taken off the PS3 website. Apparently several people had problems with update 2.4 which causes their PS3 to restart itself randomly and the installation did install correctly. For this reason Sony will be fixing the update 2.4 until finally it will be posted on the PS3 website.
You must update to the newest firmwear if you wish to use your PS3. The newest version is 2.40, so i dont know why you wanted 2.10 on it in the first place
yeah.. I think you mean update 2.40 the newest update but they pulled out to the public since it was having some problems.... I don't think you want to downgrade to 2.10
update to 2.36, thats the latest one at the moment, although it is announced that 2.41 will be out on wednesday, so i would wait until then, then update.
