Is a 1997 Dodge Dakota with 158k for a 2001 Honda civic LX with 195k a good trade?

Is a 1997 Dodge Dakota with a 158k Miles on it for a 2001 Honda Civic Lx with 195k, mostly highway, a good trade? i want a car with good gas mileage.

  • If you want better mileage yes. If you are looking for a long life both of them are getting to the point where expensive things start needing repairs.

  • Depends on what your goals are. Are you just commuting in it? Then ya, its probably a good trade.

    Just make sure its had its timing belt and water pump done. Thats the only big repair i see coming up. Other than that, if you change the oil, and keep it topped off on fluids, it should easily last to 250-300k miles.
