Do gauges ever close up?

I know piercings do close up if you dont wear earings for a while but do gauges close up? And if so how big do they have to be to never close up?

  • If you've stretched properly (slowly and with the right tools), your ear will first of all NOT look like an asshole, it will look nice and smooth, and it will close up a fair deal if you take your jewelry out. Don't expect stretched ears of an inch to close completely, but it depends on the person. Some only stretch to 4 gauge and it never really closes, some stretch up to half an inch and it closes pretty much all the way.

The better you stretch (meaning slow), the bigger the chances of them closing up.

Gauge is the term used for the measurements, the actual jewelry is called tunnels or plugs, and the act of doing it is called stretching. I'm not saying that you are stupid, but it's so much better to know what you're talking about and using the proper terms. It will gain you a lot of respect from other who know what they're talking about :)

Stretch slowly (one size, wait at least a month; it is worth it!!!!), don't wear tapers as jewelry, and try to avoid acrylic and silicone. Titanium is the best, but surgical steel is great too. It's a bit more expensive, but it's worth it. You won't have cat-but ears that way :) And that makes YOU the cool kid!! :D

  • they are going to decrease, as to how a lot they are going to is dependant on your own body as anybody is diverse. Stretching your ears should not be taken gently so merely imagine about what you're doing first. yet another element is likewise that tapers are not meant to be worn as earrings they're purely an help to help stretch your ears in which a tunnel/plug (ideally chrome metal until eventually healed) must be followed through.

  • the super duper tiny ones do but the large ones dont. if your planing on gettting it dont it looks idiotic and have a nice time with a big asshole in your ear 10 years from now because they do not close up

  • they do close up. i think after like 00 they don't close.
