Home natural gas vs oil?
I am about to but a house, put an offer on a house that has an oil tank and oil furnace, I have always lived houses that run with gas, therefore this will be my first time operating with oil, to you guys that have experienced both can you share the differences, the pros and cons? The monthly bill difference?? Thanks for your input in advance

Gas is cheaper and buying oil and having a supplier is a little different. If the oil tank is in the ground then you have to pay a licensed tank removing company to get rid of the tank. Another down side, if the oil tank leaks into the ground then you have to pay to have the tank taken out along with all the ground that is polluted by the oil. So the bottom line is that buying a house with a buried oil tank is another risk for a homeowner.
the cost is very similar BUT oil tends to burn colder, and dirtier. so it takes more oil to heat a home vs gas, and since its dirtier you have to clean the furnace often or risk it bursting into flames
natural gas is cleaner than oil, but solar and wind are completely clean and renewable
Depends on the country. In Europe gas is mush cheaper but in USA there is little difference.
