Why do people use pickup trucks as cars nowadays?
I remember in the 1970s everyone just owned cars, and trucks were mostly just used to work. Fast forward to today, and many people use pickup trucks for everyday driving. What makes people prefer truck nowadays, compared to 40 years ago?
Comments
I drive a pick-up truck because it is reliable and good on gas. I don't use it as a work truck, but it comes in handy when a friend or neighbor needs to haul a sofa, or a big screen tv. Hope this helps.
Just to make work multi purpose. Before cars were used for family transport now pick ups come with great engines and suspensions, so why not opt for them when ypu can avail 2 benifits at one price.
EASY 101
- trucks are more robust than cars
- trucks can be as luxurious as a car.
- trucks have proper 4x4 capability
- trucks carry more
- trucks have better outward visibility
- trucks last longer
- trucks have good resale value
- trucks are easier to work on than cars
NEGATIVES
- they burn more fuel
- they don't fit in all garages
Because there not that much worse on gas then some cars and you can do so much more with them.
