Connect my MP3 player to Car speaker, possible?
Hi,
My car mp3 player is stolen by a kid breaking the windows. I am not planning to buy a new player again.
Few days ago, a friend of mine suggest me can use a mp3 player to replace a car player, but certainly need some cables to convert signal into card speaker.
I have checked on ebay the cable is called Car ISO audio cable. But I still not quite sure which one I am looking for.
Please anyone knows car well can tell me, what kind of cables I need to use to connect the mp3 player to my car speaker?
Thank you.

sadly your mp3 player wont really have the power to drive the speackers...radios that have mp3 conection plug utilises its own amplifier to boost the mp3 ....
There is a cassette adapter (if you have a tape deck). It should cost no more than around $20 at any major gadget places. The FM transmitter is about $30 and works like a miniature radio station by broadcasting the signal from your mp3 player. Other cars tuned to the same radio station as you will pick up your broadcast if they are close enough to you. Don't get the ones that use batteries, but rather plug into the cigarette lighter socket. Don't buy from Radio $hack as you'll pay too much for it. Go to Best Buy or the like.
Just buy a cheap car stereo with an input socket on the front, then you just need a lead from the headphone output of the MP3 to the car stereo.
An MP3 player will not power car speakers directly as it will be too quiet
NO you can't just connect your MP3 direct to car speakers.
it would be better if u buy a cheap chinese brand head unit. with ur mp3 player, u wudnt have am/fm, cd, and ur dash wuld look ugly. spending lil money for a cheap head unit would be better
you will de better off buying a cheap head unit m8 its not worth it!
i can get a head unit ffor £40
