Should I continue as a programmer?
I am not sure if this is my cup of tea.
Aboute me:
I have been coding for around 3 years
I still love to figure out new things
I was into C++ etc before, now into PHP, and I just wanna remain in web, coz thats what I get an audience
But ...
I just like the idea part of it, dont appreciate the complexities in implementation like parsing etc.
I dont like to think how a 5 tier nested for loop works in various situation, i just like the simple things - if this, then that.
I prefer code the way I think, rather than make it more optimized. (i use if else instead of ?
I love to undestand how an algo works, but I dont like to understand its implementation.
When I try to answer, should I continue? Is this what I like? My heart says yes. But I wish some one who has done coding, who has gone through what I have, give me a reponse. If you feel this is where I belong, please say, else please suggest to get to another profession.
Please, I cant make a head or tail. Though finally I will decide.

If you love it and you can get work with you current skill level stick with it.
But a time may come where you find it difficult to get work or to advance because you are just not loving getting into the more advanced aspects of programming.
There is plenty of "simple" stuff that needs to be done but there will also be competition in the job market for the simple stuff.
It sounds like you prefer the design end of things rather than the nuts and bolts of coding...if so, you might consider moving towards systems analysis and design.
