how do i transfer pictures from my motorola razr to my computer?
hi, i have a verizon motorola razr and i have lots of pictures on my phone that i would love to transfer to my computer. i do not have text messaging so i cannot send them. i have tried using a usb cord, but it says i need installation software. how can i transfer them to my computer? thanks in advance.

you can get a micro sd card and that should do the trick. just put the card in your phone and transfer the pictures to the card. then put it in the compie!
oh and bluethooth wont work because you have verizon. verizon customers can only bluetooth to other verizon customers.
You basically have 3 options: bluetooth, email, or a usb data cable.
Email will cost you money, because pictures are usually about 75kb to 100kb each... and providers like AT&T usually charge 10 cents per 10kb.
USB data cable requires software, as you've discovered. Motorola has a PhoneTools program that works nicely, but don't buy it directly from Motorola because they'll charge you about 40 bucks and you can find it for half that at resellers (Wireless Emporium, CellPhoneStore, etc).
The bluetooth option is completely free as long as your computer also supports bluetooth, but you can only send one picture at a time. Basically you connect your razr to your computer via bluetooth, and then you can send files back and forth over the bluetooth connection.
You'll need to turn on bluetooth on your Razr first, by selecting the following menu options:
Settings --> Connection --> BlueTooth Link --> Setup --> Find Me
You'll be prompted to enter a unique passcode of your choosing (I used 1234 for example).
If you've tried the transfer cable. The RaZr doesn't have any other options unless you pix text them to your e-mail address and save them that way.
the best thing to use is bluetooth i use it and it works for everything sending stuff to and from your mobile and you can pick them up realy cheap i got mine for £5 and it works perfect.if you dont want to buy a bluetooth usb you could go online and try to find the installation softwere you need hope this helps

you have to have a lead which you get when you buy the phone, or you can buy one. otherwise, you may have bluetooth on your computer. that works too.
if you have bluetooth on the phone use that.. say "send picture" and if there is a bluetooth option choose it
