Nintendo Entertainment system Problem?

So, After months of wanting to get an NES, I got one. My friend got the Action set but his Tv's wouldn't work on them so I bought it off him. It wasn't just the Action set it self but more. This is the what came with it,

*NES System

*Cables, Power etc.

*1 Controller

* Warranty (Lol)

* ''Don't open thing''

* Super mario and Duck hunt x2

* Top gun

* Donkey Kong

* Super mario bros 3.

But There's a problem. All the games work fine, may need some wiggling here and there but they work.

But super mario bros 3 doesn't. It's probably the best NES game in condition I have seen but it gets this Flashing Red light.

I plop the game in, Press it down, Power on and It blinks repeatedly. Shows a quick frame of the game, then goes black, frame of the game and so on. This happened with one of the others, but a quick clean with a cotten bud and it's working. But this isn't the case for Mario. I'm sure it's not the 72 Pin connector because other games work, But I think I know the problem. My NES is PAL UK I believe and My SMB3 Is german, So is that the problem? Or are German games PAL too? If you know what's wrong please help me out I want to play one of my favourite classsic games.

  • 9/10 its because the cartridge is dirty so get a q-tip and spray it no more than TWO times (with water works or air freshener) and rub the connectors in the cartridge(up and down not side to side) and leave it to dry for 3-5 minutes, than blow close into the cartridge *note: heat is what makes the cart be able to play so blow heat into the cartridge(don't be immature, in order for the game to work use your mouth not anything else to blow heat into the cartridge) there you go hope this helps.

  • particular, i latterly offered a GBA, the unique version, and the counter guy theory i replaced into loopy. It brings you returned to the previous days. I under no circumstances had a NES myself, so i do no longer understand any good video games.

  • Try cleaning it with rubbing alcohol on a Q-Tip.
