Serious problem with daughter's teacher?
Yesterday my sixth grade daughter asked to use the bathroom while her teacher was in the middle of a lesson. Her teacher said no. My daughter asked about 15 minutes later (still in the lesson) and she still said no. My daughter said she couldn't hold it and had an accident in her pants about 5 minutes later. She told her teacher, and sent her to the nurse where I was notified. All this over letting my daughter go pee!! I don't know what to do!?

I'm sorry this happened to your daughter. Some teacher take their jobs alittle too seriously. This is a good time to talk to the teacher. Sometimes you can get a different story from both sides. If your daughter's story is true, then I would sit down with the principle and express your concern over the bathroom policy. Children that young should have some flexibility to excuse themselves, especially after waiting for 15 mins. Good luck with your situation..
When I was in the third grade, the same thing happened to me. It was embarrassing, and a hassle for both my mother and I. When parent teacher conferences rolled around, my mom told the teacher that if I asked to go to the bathroom, I had the right. She cleared it up with her, and after that, I ALWAYS got to go in the middle of a lesson, or not. It's important to talk directly to the source of your anxiety. Your daughter should be able to go to the bathroom regardless of whether or not the teacher is done speaking.
whilst i became into in school I by no ability went to the bathing room throughout college. a million. because of the fact i ought to hold it. 2. Public loos eww! yet in basic terms in case you ought to pass instructors are often reluctant with regard to the bathing room element because of the fact scholars pass and stay continually to get out of sophistication or in basic terms to socialise interior the bathing room. i'm particular your daughter's instructor feels terrible with regard to the placement. i do no longer think of conversing with the crucial will help in this occasion a lot. One reason is it could make the instructor whom i'm particular is amazingly sorry with regard to the incident protective, and that relies upon on how the crucial approaches the instructor. this ought to be dealt with with the instructor first; gently!
In primary school it's a bit rough! High School is a bit different, if they don't go in their break then they're just stupid but when they're still little they need to be given some leeway!
I would take it up with the principal. Children at any age should be allowed to go when asking unless it's turning into a habit.
This happens all the time. No student is allowed to go to the toilet during lessons.
You can either ask the school to let her go in the future or you can do nothing
