I need ideas for a senior center. as creative as possible. maybe even educational. remeber these people are over 70 years old. what do you think they'll enjoy?
Well now, remember I've turned 71, my activities are ballroom, latin, and line dancing, and making love. I've recently given up high impact aerobics due to an (aerobics) knee injury, however I've taken up power walking instead.
I intend signing up for a history course this coming winter, (that's if I can find the time from all of the DIY projects, wifey and my married kids have me lined up for).
Now, what were you saying, about "remember these people are over 70 years of age"
Unless they are suffering from dementia in one degree or another, or are severely infirm please don't treat them as if they are lacking in life skills. Most of my peers are well over 70. Many of them were captains of industry: you wouldn't want to go head to head with them.
At the Senior Center in my community, about all they do is play bingo. That is not my game, so I never go there. How about Scrabble or Monopoly? Or even Parcheesi? They are kind of timeless, and most of the folks at a Senior Center probably remember playing them as kids.

My grandma talked about a class where they learned about using computers. They were all cluelss and apparently had a great time.
Peace and Quiet, comparing illnesses or the "Remember when game"
