Everywhere you go, they will be sold for the same price. It's not like if you go to Walmart, the 40GB PS3 is going to be $359 and if you go to Target it's going to be $399, because the prices are all the same.
I recommend Gamestop and Bestbuy to get the console from, and I recommend the PS3.
I have the PS3. Its alot better in every way it has a 0.3 % chance of failing and the xbox 360 is 33%. PS3 Is awsome and the only reason you would maybe want the xbox 360 is to play with your friends, otherwise buy the Ps3 because there is still so manyh people online and the online is free. You will always be in a full game on Call of Duty 4 in about 30 seconds.
i dont know about a PS3 but xbox 360 elites costs $450, a pro costs $350, and an arcade one costs $280. i know that they had a Halo one but im not sure how much that is I have an arcade one because it was the cheapest new one that they have and i like it it comes with a wireless controller and like 256mb memory or something but it has pretty much everything u need to start out with- oh yeah i got mine at best buy only because i had a gift card but u can get them anywhere and theyll be around the same price so hope this helped!
