Honestly, most jarred baby food won't have artificial flavors, coloring, or corn syrup and not a lot of preservatives. Double check the labels. It's more when you move into foods marketed for kids that you have to start checking for that. You can try making your own (the wholesomebabyfoods link above is a good one) or also look into organic brands (eg. Earth's Best).
Make homemade baby food - it's not that hard. The site below has lots of great recipes and instructions. Or you can skip the purees altogether and just feed your baby table foods, starting with soft, well-cooked fruits and veggies.
I steamed some, I baked some. Potatoes, yams, squash have been baked. maximum each little thing else i could steam till softened yet not gentle. We did toddler-led weaning, so we did not mash them, only gave them sufficiently great products to handle, mouth, and chew. in case you at the instant are not gentle with that, then only mash up with a fork and your stable to pass. We did not shop, consistently made sparkling, yet freezing in ice cube trays seems to be the known, easiest decision.
Make your own it really isn't hard or that time consuming plus you save money and know what goes into your childs mouth. I have about a 3 week stash in my freezer that cost half of what it would have if I bought jars and that is using fresh produce.

You're own, homemade baby food. You could also try organic food stores to see if you can find anything there.
Yeah and its the food you make at home. Its actually not that hard to make and depending on how you store them they last a lot longer.
no baby foods i have fed my son have preservatives or anything. If you are that concerned you can make your own baby food:)
Yea, the one that you prepare. I cook my own baby food.
