Why do parents blame...?
Why do parents blame places like McDonalds for making their kids overweight?
Why blame them when it is the parents who bring their kids to fast food places, order for them, let their kids have fries instead of apple slices, let them drink soda instead of milk or juice, and again order fries and soda for them?
I work at a fast food restaurant and constantly parents choose fries over apples for their kids (I ask them if they would like fries or apples, and either they just say fries or they let the kid choose who almost always picks fries) and let them drink soda instead of getting them milk or juice or water even. They toys shouldn't have an affect on kids weight or what they eat since it should be the parents in control. You can't blame Ronald, you can't blame toys, you can only truly blame yourself as a parent.

I agree with what you are saying. I think fast food franchises become a scapegoat. Whenever something bad happens to someone, it's natural to look for someone or something to blame, rather than blaming yourself. People seem to hate accountability.
I can't tell you the amount of times i've heard people use the saying "i'm big boned".
Even "healthy" options aren't that great for the kids. Of course they will *want* french fries, but who is the parent? Why are they allowed to just have it because they want it? If your family is at a point where you have to do what's "easier" and it's always easier to order fast food than make a meal at home, you need to re-evaluate your schedule a bit so you have time to stay healthy. Even if you are always going somewhere or playing sports it's still not good to live on fast food. I think people forget that it can take a week to undo and work off a day's worth of fast food. They probably figure they are active so it won't hurt them, but that isn't ok at all.
Because it's easier than blaming themselves for feeding their kids crap. Not saying it's right, but that's the general thought process. Really, the parents have all the control in the world. They could make their kids a nutritious, filling lunch. It's laziness at its finest. A cheeseburger is fine every once in a while, but if parents are depending on it as a typical meal for their kids, it shouldn't be a surprise that their kids are overweight. Simple as that.
Seriously. Unless McDonald's is putting a gun to their head and forcing them to feed their child their food, then they are the ones making the choice to let their kids eat it. Not that I think there's anything wrong with occasionally treating your child to a burger or chicken nuggets, fries, and soda, but common sense ought to tell you that you shouldn't let your child have it multiple times a week.
Because, obviously, the kids want to go to McDonald's, due to the fact of "Ronald McDonald" and the play areas there at times. I think that people shouldn't let their kids go there if they don't want them overweight or obese, because, come on people, really?
If you're going to complain about your children being overweight, why send them to places that can make them that way? Take responsiblity.
Sincerely,
Neon.
The only person to blame is the parents for taking their kids there in the first place.
I have never blamed Ronald for anything. )
Even when I took my kids for fast food, I gave them options, and they had to choose from among them.
I suspect it is all the junk food at home that is actually causing the problem.
With each and every of the blunders my dad and mom made in raising me, and that they're going to admit to their many blunders, I thank them for how they did. They have been faraway from suited yet they supported me and inspired me. they did no longer provide me each and every little thing i could ever desire. yet there are various stuff related to the way my dad and mom raised me that to on the instant time, i'm unlike. i replaced into raised to be judgmental and discriminatory in many techniques. I chosen to no longer be. relatively, i've got been able to coach my dad and mom to think of in a different way than they have been raised. i do no longer think of you could blame them for the form you relate to different human beings. you're chilly, distant and unaffectionate because you prefer to proceed your dad and mom' legacy. you may ignore approximately those classes you have been taught in case you desire to. it incredibly is completely your determination.
THANK YOU.
Finally, someone with a brain.
No one is forcing these parents to take their children to McDonalds and allow them to scarf down fries, nuggets and burgers at gunpoint.
Everyone likes to point fingers instead of taking responsibility.
