do drum brakes squeak when damp?
i replaced the disc brakes on my 03 neon because there was squeaking in the morning and sometimes every time i braked. but the squeak is still there could it be the drum brakes on the rear?

yes sometimes they do. try adjusting the back shoes up a little bit tighter against the drums. that might take some load off the front. brake dust is another thing that can make them squeak. get some brake cleaner and spray them down good.
my brakes did the very same thing when i came to a slow stop it turns out that it was a collection of brake dust. clean it out with a brake cleaning spray and then sand the drum until it looks new and it shouldn't squeak at all.
yeah the drums tend to squeak when there wet or something me too i have a 2000 dodge neon and it does squeak too but i never really tought about it. hope this helps you take care.
It most certainly could be, dose it worry you, I don't think there is anything to worry about. It would only be brake dust.
