Can plaque protect teeth?
I know this may sound somewhat dumb but it just occurred to me because it's relevant to me right this minute. Soda is bad for teeth, of course. Can brushing teeth THEN drinking soda cause more damage than drinking it with plaque on your teeth then brushing? Since they would be bare and clean, as opposed to having a thin film of plaque over it.
Update:Jake, I do brush my teeth. I'm just wondering whether it makes a difference if I do it before or after drinking soda.

I brush my teeth. You should too.
Cavities are formed when the sugar (from the soda) mix with the bacteria from the plaque on your teeth. So, it's better to brush first!
Wow you are brave sticcking your finger in his mouth. Very friendly cat to let you do this. I would suggest a toothbrush. I the cat eating hard food all the time. If not that helps too. Firelove
