NRL fans... Do you prefer.......?
the way the game is currently played ?
or
the way the game was played during the All Stars match?
I really liked the way the All Stars match was played.. particularlly the Power Play option after scoring a try it seems a little more faster paced. i did not like, however, the quarters instead of half time made it seem like AFL

I prefer how the game is usually played.
I really don't like the idea of the double try, I think kicking is an important part of league. Why would you risk a chance at 4 points when they can get a safe 2? If the NRL All Stars had gone with converting their tries instead of going for a double try they could've won the game. I also didn't like the quarters, they seemed way too short.
I did like how the coaches had the microphones though.
No I prefer normal Rugby League rules the Power Play may have made the match go quicker but it was very unsuccessful and the quarters do seem like Aussie Rules quarters which makes it worse as it is too long and therefore there are also to many ad breaks
I like the normal game, I don't think the Power Play jazz worked at all, and I can see all sorts of problems if it is used in Competition.
Don't worry about the quarters, it's just the normal thing for this time of year, and remember the game was played on the Gold Coast, in February when it's really hot. It's only for the players' health, 20 minutes of play then rest and rehydration.
I wasn't really a fan of the format.. For the All stars match it's fine but not for NRL footy.
If it ain't broke, why change it? There are other things that need to be fixed in the game before we worry about adding more rules to it.
I think they had quarters because the players aren't at full fitness yet, remember this is still trial season, it's a bit like having a break after 20mins in extreme heat - just looking after the players.
I like the Power Play, anything that rewards a team to back itself is good imo but I think you should be able to kick during power play.
The way the game is currently played. The All Stars game was OK but it was really only an exhibition type game.
The power play was interesting - most players were a bit confused and Im guessing they didnt worry too much about it in training.
I like it as it is but I was open to seeing how well it went in this game. Overall I think it showed how we do it now is just fine!
Aussie Rules, Basketball & American Football all have quarters and as I follow all three of those, the 'quarters' factor didn't bug me.
But keep the game the way it is. No need to change it, it ain't broke!
