  • Use the "PEMDAS" rule: First do operations within parenthesis, then do exponents, then do multiplication, division, finally do addition and subtraction. It there is a tie between multiplication and division, or addition and subtraction, do what comes first, left to right.

    -3(-5)^2 = -3(25) = -75.

  • Multiply first. 3(12/5)-3 = 3/1 x 12/5 - 3 = 36/5-3 = 36/5- 15/5 = 21/5 = Answer: 4 1/5 I could be wrong but i think that's how you solve it.

  • always apply exponents first, then go with multiplication

    so (-5)^2 = 25 then 25*(-3) = -75

general order is exponents, multiplication and division, addition and subtraction

  • alrighty

    -3(-5) to the 2nd power

    -3(-25)

    -75

    answer is -75

  • multiplication always before addition thats the rule

    the answer is -3(25)=-75

  • square first. -3(25) = -75

  • You do the exponent first.

The order of operations is Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally:

    P - Parentheses

    E - Exponents

    M - Multiplication

    D - Division

    A - Addition

    S - Subtraction

  • you do the square first.

The only way you'd mulitiply first is if the problem was this:

    (-3(-5))²

  • Parentheses

    Exponents

    Multiplication and

    Division

    Addition and

    Subtraction

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahhhahahahahahhhahhhahahhahahhaa!!!!!!!!!!!!! a question this dumb doesnt deserve an answer. you should have known this by the latest in 6th grade.hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
