How do I reboot my computer?

Let's just say someone decides to accidentally drops 4 neodymium magnets on his laptop exactly where his hard drive is located. And lets just say it completely wipes off everything.

Let's also say that his laptop is no longer covered by warranty.

That being said.

I need to reboot my laptop with windows 7.

I'm tired of using my POS Mac.

The laptop still turns on so it's not completely dead.

Can someone send me a link with step by step instructions on how to reboot a computer?

  • Lets say you take it to a shop and get a new HDD, as most laptops have a recovery partition, but it may be destroyed or fried as well. keep magnets away from laptops in future and micrwaves??

  • You use the "Restore Disk" that the laptop told you to create when it was new, and keep safe just for moments like this.

    You did this, didn't you?

If not you will have to take it to a repairer, pay what they charge and then deal with the fact that you have lost all your files.

  • in case you're asking in spite of if re-formatting a hardrive will harm your laptop as an entire, the respond isn't any. regardless of the undeniable fact that, re-formatting it particularly is going to do away with all your latest records at thepersistent. stressful drives can sustain a great volume of re-formats with out any harm to thepersistent itself. solid success!

  • Reboot just means to restart the computer! If you mean you want to install Windows 7 then you can download it from here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/shop/do...

  • Put on a pair of boots and select your favorite foot and boot the computer with all your strength.
