2001 Chevy Silverado Mirror Replacement?
How difficult is it to replace the right side mirror. There is a plastic peice (triangular) in the cab at the corner of the window about where the mirror is on the outside. Would I need to remove this?

that's right,just take that off and there will be some foam stuffed in there pull the foam out and you can get at the 3 10mm nuts,if its a power mirror you'll have to unplug the connector also.if the glass is just broken you can get that replaced alot cheaper than the hole head.go to your local auto glass shop,they can usually get the part and install it.
Just pop out the triangle plastic cover then you will see bolts holding the mirror to the door.
Easy. Just take the triangular piece out and open the window too. There should be 2-4 screws to open and its out.
YOU HAVE ALREADY GOTTEN GOOD ADVICE , THE ONLY THING THAT COMES TO MIND IS IF THE MIRROR DOESN'T UNPLUG RIGHT BEHIND THE PLASTIC COVER THEN YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE DOOR PANEL TO ACCESS THE CONNECTION.
