does vertebrate cover a turtles body?

Update:

  • I assume you mean vertebrae. The answer is, "in part". The vertebrae and ribs fuse to form part of the shell. They are covered by dermal bone and keratinous* plates.

*Keratin is the material making up your hair and nails.

  • The vetebral scutes are the centrer line of scutes (bony plates) on the carapace (upper shell).

  • hi guys I'm the one who asked the question I'm doing a school report and cant find a answer about it please look at other questions I have answered thx :)
