Damage to car by NYPD?
My car was towed because I was too close to the fire hydrant. Inany case, I paid the $185 and tried to start my car. When I asked the pound yard to give me a boost, they noticed an oil leak. They had broken my oil pan! I left in tears, I mean, for God's sake at least tow me to the nearest mechanic! But they wouldn't, and gave me one free day of storage. So... I'm afraid the engine is gone. No sputtering, nothing. How do they get away with doing these things to people?

Unfortunately, new oil pan is a smaller deal than lawsuit with NYC. U R looking at probably $ 2000 attorney fee just to get started. Oil pan should be a $ 200 deal

Didn't they give u a damage claim report? if they didn't i would go back and fill out a claim with them.

ask the NYPD..we don't all live there and can't answer that...
