Psychological Diagnosis PLEASE?
Ok I hope this doesn't get confusing but I read a story called A Rose for Emily and I would like to get a psychological diagnosis on here because I know she's crazy. When she was younger and her dad died she kept the body for 3days. The towns people had to force her to give up the body so that they could bury him. She likes to keep to her self and she doesn't like new idea to well. EXAMPLE (the town decided to have free postel service so that the townspeople could get their mail from home instead of going to the post office everyday. They wanted to put new numbers on everybody's door and Emily refused to have FREE postal service. She rather her "Man Servant" get the mail everyday.) When Emily died everybody was curious to see her house because nobody except her man servant hasn't seen the inside of her house for 10 years. Once they had the oppertunity to go into the house they found a room that had a dead man in it (HER HUSBAND) that has been dead for decades. Please diagnois her.

She might have suffered from a few different illnesses. She probably had social phobias or may have been agoraphobic. Being a psych major, I now want to read this story. I'm interested to see what other people think.
interior the U. S., docs hire the DSM IV (that's recommended to attempt googlin it), that's a diagnostic instruction manual that contains lists of indications and coverings for countless psychological subject concerns. i think of the professionals are exceedingly evident. Diagnosing some one will perceive the particular style of affliction that he/she suffers from, which will enable a expert to habit cures particular to the affliction. style of like figuring out the poison injected interior the path of the snake chew with the intention to apply the right anti-venom. on the different hand, diagnosing a affected person can recommend arising barriers and labels on the affected person's situation. for example, a affected person can not be clinically determined for OCD except particular indications are pointed out. In different words, if some one is "basically short" of the indicators mandatory for prognosis, the affected person might or won't be clinically determined with the affliction. yet who gets to settle on despite if some one is "healthful" or no longer? this is unquestionably confusing to LABEL a psychological journey, fantastically by potential of utilizing a common (to that end, the DSM IV). There are additionally situations of "misdiagnosis." A affected person may be clinically determined with the incorrect affliction. cures on the topic of the "assumed" affliction might actually worsen the situation of the affected person. you in all likelihood shouldn't use insulin-ask your self therapy on a affected person with manic melancholy. it would maximum possibly f*ck them up.
Eccentric.
