When you first start it is not uncommon to be very irregular. If it worries you then go see a doctor but honestly i wouldn't worry bout it,,,well unless ur are sexually active then i would suggest a pregnancy test.
Five months is completely normal. If there is a possiblity of pregnancy, then find out if you are pregnant. If you feel stressed or anxious about this, then see a doctor you trust for reassurance.
Periods settle down for the vast majority of women after about 1-3 years. Even if you don't settle down into a regular rhythm, that still can be normal for you. If after three years you are still unpredictable with no regular cycle, I would then see a doctor. Even at that stage, there will probably be nothing wrong.
Various activities in life can affect your period, such as vigorous sporting or atheletic activities, and stress.
To give you my story, I started by period at the age of 14 and it was NEVER predictable or normal. I went on the pill at 18, simply because after 4 years, I still did not have a regular pattern. When I was 22, I stopped having periods for 9 months, yet there was no possibility of pregnancy. After a series of tests, it was finally determined that this was normal for me. I am now 30, and my period is still only regulated by taking the pill. While this is not 'normal' in the big scale of things, it is normal for me.
I would have your parents set a date for you to be checked by your doc. missed periods (esp. that many in a row) is not a good sign. I am not saying that anything is wrong with you by any means but it is always good to be checked out when this happens to be sure, no matter how old you are.
If you have been sexually active you might want to do an at home pregnancy test, also large amounts of stress can cause a women to miss periods.....
Best to be checked to be on the safe side, if there is something wrong you don't want to let it go to long and have it get to the point where you can fix it, five months is already a long time to have gone not knowing.
Yes, sometimes it happens so, that after reaching puberty you may get your period a couple of times... and then be dormant for a while... Since you are just 13, your body takes time adjusting and getting used to the exact mestural cycle. You will most probably resume your period in another couple of months... But, if takes a considerably longer time... or if you do get your period and in future such irregularities continue.. then you should consult a doctor... But as of now nothing much to worry...
When you first get your period it takes a while to reach a regular cycle. It sound normal, but if you're really concerned, a better person to ask would be your mom or your doctor. They would likely be able to help more than us Answers folk...
Totally normal. I know someone who was like that until 20 with no probs. Your doc can check your hormone levels to be sure everything is normal, but I bet they wouldn't bother for another few years.

Yes it's normal, it usually takes a while for you to become regular. Talk with your mom if you're worried.
Yes it is, your body is adjusting to puberty years, if this goes on for more than a year, check with your doctor
