Graphic card issue?
I have a problem on deciding which graphics card to put in my computer. I am a high performance gamer and i'm thinking 3 way SLI. What is the best for me: 1Gb Geforce GTX 280, 1Gb Geforce 9800 GX2 or 512Mb 8800 GT. Is there a better on? Please let me know.
Also on processors. What is the best processor available for gaming and running Crysis at close to full settings?

firstly, forget 3 way sli for now. the GTX 280 drivers wont even allow it at the mo. sounds like you have too much money! always try to get the best SINGLE card you can, not 2 cheaper ones just for sli as not all games benifit, some actually run slower. if your power supply can take it then get the 280GTX, it needs a true 8 pin pci-E connector tho and its a bit expensive. ive ordered the 260 as it only needs 2 6 pin connectors and is 50% cheaper and only around 18% slower and should still hammer crysis.
as for the cpu,a fast dual core like the E8400 will do the job, or the Q9450 if you're feeling flush. quad core isn't essential tho as the new 200 series cards can process physics which is normally left to the cpu.
hope this helps!
get 3 nvidea 280's that give you 3 gigs video graphics
get a Q9650 or better quadcore cpu 1333mhz 3.0 GHZ
you'll have among the fastest home pcs around
that comparable right element befell to me b4 with an identical card (geforce 6800 extremely). Your concern is maximum in all probability your PSU (capacity furnish unit); this actual card attracts approximately one hundred ten-a hundred and fifteen watts, which means you need to have a sturdy 430-550W PSU. be conscious which you will injury your gadget and/or card in case you preserve utilising it on low wattage. additionally, if u hit upon a sturdy deal on a, enable's say.... 650W psu, get it! u can never have too lots wattage, plus you never comprehend once you will improve your aspects. oh yeah, and replace your driving force. CHEERS!
