  • I think the decimal is giving u a hard time so say it like this:

how far can a baseball travel in 1/2 a second if it waz thrown at 36 m/s?

so then all u have to do divide 36 in half

    and u will get 18 :)

  • If the baseball is thrown at 36m/s that means it traveled 18 meters because .5 seconds is 1/2 of a second.

Answer, the baseball will travel 18meters in .5 of a second.

  • okay so...

    (.5 seconds) (35 meters)

    ----------------- x ----------------

    (1)_________(1 second)

=cross cancel the seconds and you get...

    (.5 ) (36 meters)

    ------ x ----------------

    (1) ____ (1)

now it's a matter of how well you can divide by 2. As 1/2 times 36 meters is 18 meters

18 is already a whole number so there is no point in rounding

  • not quite in 9th grade yet, but here ya go:

    36/2= 18m

  • It travelled 18m in half a second.

  • TAKE 36 DOLLARS GIVE ME HALF OR.50 AND THEN HOW MUCH WILL YA HAVE LEFT

  • Isn't it obvious. It's very sad you can't figure that out.
