Does pooping relieve period cramps?
Pooping, is it supposed to relieve period cramps? Or is it supposed to make the cramps worse?
Cause everytime I get my period, usually on the first or second day I get these really intense menstrual cramps and along with it, the need to poop. When I poop, the pushing motion of me pushing my poop out makes my cramps feel less painful and makes me feel so much better. Is this normal? It makes me wanna push even harder sometimes.
I'm sorry for the graphic descriptions but this is what goes on in my life.

Period Poop Cramps
Personally in my past years I've been diagnosed with ovarian cysts which can make my cramp very severe. (hard to explain when I only work with men) when my period starts its as if I can feel all the swelling and muscles tightening up, if your bowels are full its near the same area, so by releasing this it is taking some of the pressure off of your lady parts. When my period comes i make sure to stay very hydrated take some vitamins I've noticed hydration helps as well. If you feel like you can't make a bowel movement try a light laxitive or prune juice it makes like much better. The hot shower helps relax the rest of your body and by doing that your relaxing the cramping. After a hot shower I like to lay slightly sitting up with my feet on a small pillow to completely relax my abdomen. After the first day all my cramps go away. Quit using tampons start using pads when you can.
Without being rude... when I was studying massage my female instructor stated that one of the best ways to relieve period cramps was to have an orgasm as this assists in the movement of fluid buildup and stretches muscles in the reproductive area. She stated it was like hitting a reset switch and was instant relief for this problem.
Pushing hard while pooping will end up giving you hemorrhoids.
Sorry if this is embarrassing to you... it was not intended..
Most of the time, treatment for hemorrhoids involves steps that you can take on your own, such as lifestyle modifications. Learn here https://tr.im/JiBgH
But sometimes medications or surgical procedures are necessary. If your hemorrhoids produce only mild discomfort, your doctor may suggest over-the-counter creams, ointments, suppositories or pads. These products contain ingredients, such as witch hazel or hydrocortisone, that can relieve pain and itching, at least temporarily.
Don't use an over-the-counter cream or other product for more than a week unless directed by your doctor. These products can cause side effects, such as skin rash, inflammation and skin thinning.
Whoa, I second that answer. Except for me its like the period cramps trick my bowels into feeling like they're having a bad time, and I pass much looser stool, almost diarrhea. Anyway it feels a heck of a lot better afterwards! I don't know why this happens. Bodies can be weird and unexplainable at times. Sorry I don't have an answer, but its not just you.
I thought that this was seriously just me... An then sometimes I get the feeling that I need to but can't poop.. But always remember in any case don't push to hard because it may case more problems later in life!!
I just started my period earlier this morning. I pooped like crazy this morning and it helped a lot with the pain.
