  • Birth control pills can affect your periods. They can also have some side effects. Your headaches may be caused by taking the pill.

Once you begin taking the pill, you should take it regularly, every day, as directed. If you're taking it 'on and off', you are more likely to experience breakthru bleeding, or bleeding between normal periods. BC pills usually help regulate your period, and help your body stay on a 28 day cycle.

  • Each birth control is different for each person. Like i got the depo shot and i didnt get my period till two months later and its light and isnt so bad. But for an example if i were to go onto the pill my period could just be shortenned or maybe be heavier. Its different for each person and you dont know what happens till you do it. Your period may not be late but it just may be the birth control
