Car Sub/Amp Power Issue.?

so my friend s' got a 97 Ford Explorer XLT with a stock alternator and standard battery.

The amp is hooked to the battery via a 4 ga. cable, and is (to my knowlage) properly grounded.

the issue is, when the car is running, or in Acc mode, every time (for example) the windshield wipers go the subwoofers move slowly and very obviously, (this also happens when you lock/unlock the doors, or turn the heater on/off ect.)

Does this happen because the battery is dieing or is it a wiring issue?

  • Sounds like the battery aint strong enough to power up everything at the same time...... Instead of going out and buying a new battery buy a capacitor that would charge up like a battery and won't use the battery after its charged up

  • sure, you need to use your production unit head unit in case you desire to so do no longer worry approximately that. flow with the AudioBahn it relatively is a greater powerful high quality amp than the Crunch. No, you do no longer want a potential cap in basic terms using that one sub in spite of if it incredibly is a vast sub. you may word somewhat dimming of the headlights at night whilst the bass hits annoying and the quantity is cranked up, yet should not be too lots.
