how do you write a poem? assignment due tomorrow?
I need to write a poem for homework and turn it in tomorrow but I have no idea how to write a poem. I haven't written a poem in about 2 or 3 years. I need to use personification and hyperbole. Please help me!

I would suggest starting with the basics. "Roses are red violets are blue. Sugar is sweet and so are you." Study the meaning of that poem. "The goat is big as a whale." "You are the sunshine of my life."
Try using those devices as a basis to start on.
Personification is giving an inanimate object human qualities for example "the house cried".
Hyperbole is obvious and intended exaggeration for example "I waited an enternity for you to get ready".
The house shrieked in the wind.
She stood tall above the trees.
She spoke to her neighbours
Screaming out her pain.
Try something similar to that.
