can someone please give me some information on how canada respects other cultures? i cant really find anything on the internet and i need it for my research project
Canada respects other cultures, but other cultures/countries don't really respect Canada. One example is the unbalanced relationship between Canada and the United States. Canadians often know much about the US leaders, policies, etc, while most people from the US barely know anything about Canadians.
As Troll Bmb said, Canada is not a mixing pot, where all different ingredients are melted down into one, uni-coloured soup. instead Canada is a quilt, with patches of all different fabrics and designs cohibitating side by side on one blanket.
I also agree with Chelsea. Videos are released to the web once in a while showing the ignorance of Americans, but those are of sourse very biased. I remember one where people were asked to place a pin on Italy on an unlabeled map. One guy put it on Australia. Then like 5 more people put it on Australia because they saw where the first guy put his pin. Sad, sad, sad.
In Canada, we have an official policy of multiculturalism. This differs from the melting-pot policy of the United States. If you want more information, check this site. Put multiculturalism into the search.

Canada's not a culture. It's a country. I guess they respect cultures the same way America does.
