Why do physics classes use AM radios?
Hey guys I had to do a little reflection on a recent lab that my physics class had on building radios, so I was wondering why do physics classes use AM radios instead of FM?
Thanks for the help in advance!

The AM radio can be constructed much more simply.
I think the real reason however has to do with drawing a block diagram, and example waveforms; in an AM radio it is much easier to grasp the relationships.
