Why do homosexuals "cruise"?
Is homosexuality a lonely lifestyle why the need for anonymous sex is so rampant? I read an article in an Australian newspaper this past October about a department store having to close the men's room because of the anonymous sex acts perpetrated in it to the horror of its patrons. But, this instance isn't the only one. I've heard about a Hampstead Heath (heavily wooded park in London), park bathrooms, etc. To the misfortune of one young gay man, he met up with some men over the internet and was robbed and bludgeoned to death. And please don't accuse me of being a "homophobe" would be denial, cheap, and flat out tired.

Honestly it seems most people who cruise are straight men who are married, which is why they cruise in these areas. Gay men, other than the "secret thrill" wouldn't really bother because it's alot easier to get anonymous sex, well any where than these areas.
Throughout society man has usually been the aggressor when it comes to initiating sex, men went after it and "good Girls" said no. Sooooo, when you have men going after men and there's nobody to say NO.... well, it's open hunting season. I know this really generalized the situation and it reflects old fashion beliefs, but it's also a possible theory. As far as the young gay man who was bludgeoned to death..... that is very unfortunate and seems to have been a hate crime, but bad things can happen to anybody out there who uses the Internet for dating purposes, being gay or straight.
Because when it's time for gays and lesbians to recharge their lives, I've been told that a “Fun Ship” cruise is the vacation they normally choose because there’s no shortage of fabulous food, entertainment, pampering service and – of course – fun. Straights and gays both can enjoy a short vacation that provides the type of relaxation we all need.
I've been told that another reason gays cruise is because right now, they can receive a FREE double upgrade by booking a 3, 4 or 5 day Caribbean cruise.
Are you saying that homosexuals are the only ones that have sex in fitting rooms or park bathrooms or airplanes? Because if you are, you're very naive. Straight couples do that all the time as well. So it would be more fitting if your question was, "Why do people cruise?" instead of, "Why do homosexuals cruise?" The answer is the same whether you're talking about homosexuals or heterosexuals. They do it for the thrill of getting caught.
Clearly it's done in these ways to preserve the anonymity of the participants. It's only a lonely lifestyle because in most areas it's not socially acceptable - that should be obvious, but apparently not to you.
Because large ships offering cruise vacations are a lot of fun.
Surely you are not saying that straight people do not go trolling for sex online, in bars, etc. If so, you are sadly mistaken.

I would venture to say public sex is not limited to homosexuals. However, homosexual sexual activities are more shocking and thus more newsworthy. Especially if it's two men... while "Girls Gone Wild" happens to be a top 50 video seller.

Seems to me the London incidant would be more of a hatred ON homosexuals rather than a problem with the premiscuity. Maybe you should learn from that and LIVE AND LET LIVE, unlike those ignorant f*cks that get their kicks off mugging anyone in general.
I suppose that practice is only for those who lack the natural talent in the subject; if a person applies themself, they may acquire great proficiency. A diligent and committed person will make every effort, will bend over backwards, in order to achieve the desired result. After all, practice makes perfect.
Straight men do the same thing. It has nothing to do with being gay or straight. Men think about sex every nine seconds. If you have two men who are attracted to each other then they are going to have sex. Thats what men do.
And yes you are a homophobe. At least own up to it.
